A high level of satisfaction and market share in the strategic segment of independent pharmacies. NEUCA on the way to reaching its budgeted annual results

A high level of satisfaction and market share in the strategic segment of independent pharmacies. NEUCA on the way to reaching its budgeted annual results
  • In the second quarter of 2025, the growth rate of the pharmacy wholesale market amounted to 8.1% with the market value reaching PLN 11.8 bn1. Just like in the first quarter, the development momentum was mainly affected by market launches of new pharmaceuticals2.
  • In the second quarter of this year, NEUCA Group produced almost PLN 3.3 bn in sales revenues (+7.4% year-on-year), and on a year-to-date basis: over PLN 6.6 bn (+6.9% year-on-year). In the period April-June 2025, the Group’s market share amounted to 29.5% (compared to 29.6% year-on-year)3, and in the strategic area of independent pharmacies 38.3% (compared to 37.2% year-on-year)4.
  • In the second quarter, the referral Net Promoter Score showed the same value of 70 as in the first quarter of this year5. In the customer satisfaction ranking, NEUCA, as always, takes the highest places in each of the surveyed categories6.
  • A high level of trust in the Group contributes to a consistent rise in the number of participants in the Świat Zdrowia and Partner partnership programmes. As at the end of the first half of 2025, 1,938 pharmacies took part, i.e. 3.5% more than a year earlier.
  • NEUCA Group closed the second quarter with PLN 74.6 m in EBITDA and PLN 19.8 m in net profit of the Parent. In the first half of this year, the corresponding figures were, respectively, PLN 185.1 m and PLN 68.2 m. Consolidated net profit in the second quarter and the full half of the year was affected by two factors: a rise in wages (+11% year-on-year) and a weakening of the US dollar, impacting on the amount of negative temporary exchange rate differences (expenses increased by PLN 6.6 m year-on-year).
  • In 2Q this year, the shareholders of NEUCA S.A. adopted a resolution on the payment of dividends in the amount of PLN 16 per share (total of PLN 71.7 m). The dividends were paid on July 28, 2025.

- In the second quarter we already started preparations not only for autumn but also for winter. We prepare pharmacies for the vaccination season and stock up with cold and flu product ranges. Therefore, the volume of work does not actually decrease and the quality of the upcoming season depends on the effectiveness of these activities - says Piotr Sucharski, the President of the Board of Directors of NEUCA S.A.

In the legal area in June this year, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) issued a judgement in Case C-200/24 where it ruled that the total ban on advertising pharmacies in Poland was incompatible with laws of the European Union. As a result, Poland must amend the law to bring it into line with EU law which means that it is necessary to clarify what form of communication constitutes information and what advertising as well as to introduce regulations protecting patients and pharmacists. Until the new law is introduced, the existing regulations apply which has been underlined in a position of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector.

- Considering the improving prospects of the clinical trial segment and the very good results of the remaining segments, the second quarter and the entire half of 2025 were good for NEUCA Group. The consolidated net profit in the second quarter and the full half of the year was impacted by two very important factors: wage rises and the weakening of the US dollar. However, at the operational level, we see constantly improving key strategic measures and record-high results in the first half of this year. Therefore, we deliver our budgeted results and, according to the plan, we are going to reach our budgeted annual performance. Our results in the subsequent quarters will certainly confirm this - concludes the President of the Board of Directors.
